HERE YOU'LL FIND PICTURES AND INFORMATION ON MY AFRICAN JUNGLE HYBRID BREEDING PROGRAM (both lean, extreme chausies and more cutting edge jungle hybrids) ON THIS PAGE. The background shows a foundation male jungle cat that gave great size, wild looks, and great temperament to this line of wildcat hybrids. I breed F2 and F3 jungle hybrids that range from 12.5% to 37.5% jungle cat depending on the breeding. At this percentage range of wild blood, the kittens can be expected to have very wild looks, and to have great, gentle, dog-like pet temperaments. They vary somewhat in size, but some (not all) male F2 kittens have reached a full thirty pounds in size! All of them tend to be on the tall side, ranging from 13" to 17" at the shoulder when on all fours and VERY tall when standing on their hind legs.

I have carefully selectively bred the wildest looking, largest, most wonderfully tempered domestic cats that I can find to use in this breeding program. This allows me to breed two very distinct types of jungle hybrid cats. One type is sleek, full tailed, lean, tall, long legged and long bodied (very similar to the male jungle cat in the background of this page). This type of jungle hybrid is also called a chausie, although cats from my bloodline tend to be longer, taller and more wild looking than most chausies. Many people feel that they look like small cougars but i think they look somewhere between a cougar and a serval. The other type of jungle cat hybrid I breed is more heavily muscled, bigger boned, often bobtailed (born with anything from no tail at all to a full length tail) and sometimes more shaggy and heavily coated. These guys look VERY bobcat or lynx-like. Both types of jungle hybrid are equally affectionate and dog-like as companions. When I say dog-like, I really mean it. They love to fetch, come when called, will trot along after you and will follow you anywhere you let them, sometimes even into the shower! They tend to be very playful and extremely affectionate. They bond very strongly to their owners. Oh, and yes, they do get along very well with dogs and domestic cats. Most of the cats I breed have a wild, golden-ticked coat (similar to the big male in the background pic) but some are spotted, marbled, melanistic (black), snow colored, sex-linked red, or even blue.
